What is Open weights?
An open-weights model publishes its parameter files so anyone can run, inspect, or fine-tune it locally — Llama, Mistral, DeepSeek and Qwen are prominent examples. "Open weights" is not always "open source": licenses vary on commercial use, and training data is rarely released.
